Background and Experience
The Innovation and Sustainable Development Institute is an organization of youthful character and orientation. Its members are young, active and energetic, with knowledge, know-how and rich work experience. The actions carries out, in cooperation with other bodies, are seminars, workshops and research studies in fields of entrepreneurship, human rights, active citizenship, sport and hygiene, sustainable development. It is also active at European level as it participates in the implementation of European programs as a Coordinator and as a partner. Through the participating networks it is in contact with a variety of partners through which it can identify the appropriate young people involved and enhance the dissemination of project results in this project.
Innovation and Sustainable Development Institute’s objectives are:
1. The promotion of education at all levels,
2. The identification and promotion of best practices,
3. The development of research, expertise, and innovation,
4. The representation of its members in all Public and Private Bodies,
5. The implementation of public works,
6. The promotion of actions to support innovation in enterprises for their modernization and development,
7. The expansion of their business networking and knowledge base,
8. The preparation of proposals and management of EU programs, as well as those of Luxembourgian Ministries,
9. To participate in research projects,
10. To update and inform members on developments in National, European and international level,
11. The cooperation and synergies with bodies of social economy for the dissemination of good practices and promotion of joint projects with Municipalities, Public and social bodies with final object to develop the social economy,
12. Planning and implementing community service projects with collaborating bodies and Regional Authorities,
13. The promotion of Sustainable Development,
14. The implementation of environmental protection and environmental awareness actions and information,
15. The implementation of actions for the protection of cultural heritage,
16. The promotion of actions for development of tourism and tourism promotion,
17. The combat against unemployment and social exclusion,
18. The enhancement of the value of environmental protection and renewable energy resources in Luxembourg and Europe,
19. The diffusion of innovation in the European area.
OUR ACTIVITIES
The Innovation and Sustainable Development Institute since its establishment, it has been active in the following activities:
– Training trip to Budapest, Hungary for the exchange of good practices on intercultural dialogue, October 2019.
– Training trip to Bucharest, Romania for the exchange of good practices on social inclusion, November 2019.
– Training trip to Munich, Germany for the exchange of good practices on entrepreneurship, November 2019.
– Study on circular economy across the North-West Europe Region.
– Elaboration of a Research on Bioeconomy in countries across Grande Région.
– Coordinated the submission of the project ECOPLAN, in the framework of Interreg North-West Europe Programme, 9th call, 2019 (NWE1079).
– Participated in the project ADAPT of the ERASMUS+ “European Youth Together” call, 2019 (614839-EPP-1-2019-1-SE-EPPKA3-EU-YTH-TOG).
